Krasnodar, 6 June – Yug Times. Kuban has ranked first nationwide in terms of the number of individual entrepreneurs per capita.
This is one of the important indicators of entrepreneurial activity. The second place in the rating went to St. Petersburg, and the third place to the Moscow region.
"According to the SPARK-Interfax analytical system, there are now more than 4.4 million individual entrepreneurs in the country. In the [Krasnodar] region there are over 244,000 entrepreneurs out of a population of 5.8 million people,' said Vasili Vorobiev, Head of the Krasnodar Department of Business Development and Foreign Economic Activity. "The concentration is 4.2 per cent. The region is the first in the country by this indicator. Thanks to the support programmes and training projects, everyone can start their own business in Kuban. The number of small and medium-sized businesses continues to grow." In St. Petersburg, there are 214,000 entrepreneurs out of a population of 5.6 million people.
In the Moscow region, there are 329,000 entrepreneurs for a population of 8.7 million people. However, the concentration of entrepreneurs per capita is less than in Kuban – only 3.8 per cent.
