Krasnodar, 7 October – Yug Times. Sanitation works are continuing in basement areas in Greater Sochi’s Khosta District.
The underground premises urgently need to be brought into a condition that would allow them to be used as shelters if necessary.
One such facility is located on Yalt inskaya Street. District administration staff, working together with the property management company and local residents, are removing household and construction waste that has accumulated in the basement over many years.
The Sochi Municipal Control Centre (MCU) reminds residents that management companies are responsible for keeping shared basement areas in proper condition. Residents, for their part, must not store personal belongings, household rubbish or bulky waste there. Doing so violates sanitary and fire-safety requirements and may also restrict emergency services’ access to utility infrastructure.
