Krasnodar, 21 December – Yug Times. Kuban and Türkiye may start establishing joint ventures, announced Governor Veniamin Kondratiev and Metin Özkan, Consul General of the Republic of Türkiye in Novorossiysk, after their meeting held last week.
“Turkey is not just our Black Sea neighbour, but a strategically important partner,” said Veniamin Kondratiev. “Today we state that our mutual trade turnover went up to 2 billion dollars last year. We are interested in further expansion of our trade, economic and cultural relations. And, in my opinion, the emphasis should be placed not only on trade, but also on establishing joint ventures. I think that Turkish business will be interested in locating production facilities in the territory of our region. This is a promising area for both sides.”
The governor noted that today the Krasnodar region is ready to back investors at any stage of their activity.
Metin Özkan, in turn, noted that over the recent years relations between Russia and Türkiye have reached a new level.
“I am sure that the opportunities of the Krasnodar region should be actively promoted in our country," Consul General said.
