Krasnodar, 9 November – Yug Times. Almost 60 kilometres of pedestrian zones will be fitted out in Sochi. 

The improvement of public spaces has become a priority task during the Year of Architecture. 

In Sochi’s Central District, a pavement along the Perinatal Centre’s campus and a section of the unified pedestrian route known as "Two Rivers – One Sea" from the Krasnodar Roundabout to the Central Market were landscaped and revitalised; now it is turn for landscaping the section between the Heliport and the Krasnodar Roundabout. 

In Adler District, the pavements on several streets were also refitted. The reconstruction of the sea embankment in Adler and the formation of a pedestrian route from Esto-Sadok to Krasnaya Poliana will soon begin. 

In Lazarevsky District, pedestrian zones appeared on a number of newly asphalted street sections. Now the pedestrian zone along the East Dagomys River is under reconstruction. Besides, a design project for the improvement of the Lazarevskoe Seafront is underway. 

In Khosta District, the route "Two Rivers – One Sea" will be organised from Matsesta station to the third stage of the river embankment.
