Krasnodar, 18 January. One hundred and twenty-four Kuban teachers will reportedly receive grants as part of the ‘County Doctor’ program.
The payees will be determined by competitive selection; the selection committee will consider such criteria as the length of teaching experience, the uninterrupted work record in one school, the qualification category, and personal achievements, including the results of professional competitions.
“In the framework of the federal programme, 124 vacancies have been determined in 37 municipalities of the [Krasnodar] region. The teachers that come to work to a village or town with the population below 50,000 will get a one-time payment of one million roubles. The teacher can use this money at their own discretion, but they will have to work for five years at a rural school,” explained Yelena Vorobyova, Minister of Education, Science and Youth Policy of Krasnodar Krai.
The programme of mortgage refund from the budget for social workers was launched in the Krasnodar region in 2022, and teachers are part of this programme. Its amount is also one million roubles. The grant has already been dispensed to 900 specialists – 300 teachers, 300 physicians, and 300 social workers.
