Krasnodar, 13 October. Since the beginning of the year, Kuban companies have paid 77 million roubles of backdated wages. Last week, a special trilateral commission was summoned to discuss the reaction to wage arrears. Speaking at the session, Vice Governor Anna Minkova said: “The issue of backdated wages remains very important. We constantly work on it, getting the trade unions and federal supervising bodies involved. Every concrete case of nonpaid wages is to be settled ‘manually’.”
Acting Minister of Economy Igor Krasavin announced that the executive and local self-government bodies monitor the companies’ debts to their employees. To promptly reveal such facts, special hotlines are working at the relevant Ministries and municipal administrations. The commission also discussed the changes in the work of the construction and transport industries. The Krasnodar region obtained quotas for the use of foreign labour in 2023. In the construction sector, up to 50% of the total number of workers can be foreign citizens; in the transport industry foreigners will not be able to work at all.
