Krasnodar, 4 October. About 200,000 employees have reportedly been driven out of shady employment over the past three years in the Krasnodar region. “The registered unemployment level in the region equals to 0.5%.

At present, special attention should be paid to the cities’ primary taxpayers. If there are risks of redundancy, these issues will have to be dealt with specifically with every single employer,” said Governor Veniamin Kondratiev, addressing the regional Ministry of Labour and Social Development. In his turn, Minister Sergei Garkusha noted that no mass dismissals can be awaited soon in any major systemic and backbone enterprises in the region.

During the meeting, Mr. Kondratiev called to step up fighting with shady employment and grey salaries. Despite the fact that 200,000 employees have been driven out of shady economy, another 500,000 continue to work unofficially and get grey remunerations.

“In every municipality, there are interdepartmental workgroups whose task is to help legalise labour relations. However, the municipal heads must keep the situation under personal control,” he emphasied.
