Krasnodar, 19 April. About three billion roubles will reportedly be spent this year in Krasnodar Krai to support the local labour market.
In addition to vocational retraining, the money will partially cover the employees’ wages in case of introduction of part-time working schedule or redundancy. The Federal and Employment Agency has allocated nearly 1.2 billion roubles to the region for this purpose.
According to the Regional Administration’s press service, so far the systemically important companies operating in the region have not announced that they may be introducing mass discharges of their employees. The registered unemployment level is 0.5% in Krasnodar Krai (the national average is 0.9%; the average in the Southern Federal District is 0.7%). Kuban employers are offering 62,000 vacancies, which is by 12% more than in 2021. In the framework of the national project “Demography,” over 5,800 Kuban residents may undergo vocational retraining this year. The list includes currently unemployed, workers aged 50 and more, women on maternity leave and nonworking women with children aged 7 and less, employees at risk of losing jobs, and youth under 35 years of age. Besides, such mechanism of social support as social contract is being actively used in the region. This year, it will help about 9,000 families.
