Krasnodar, 13 April. Last week, Kuban Governor Veniamin Kondratiev chaired over an expanded session of the Regional Organizing Committee. “Victory.”
“Nine hundred and eighty-one veterans of the Great Patriotic War live in the Kuban region. All of them are over 90 years old. We should do all to have our veterans surrounded with care and attention all year round. Since 2020, we have been granting regional subsidies for home renovation – up to 100,000 roubles. Over the past two years, over 7,000 veterans received this subsidy to the total amount of about 400 million roubles. And we will retain this program,” Mr. Kondratiev promised.
Vice Governor Anna Minkova explained how the region resolves the housing problem of the veterans – 6,000 persons had received flats over the past twelve years. She said that everyone who had applied did receive a flat.
Another item of the agenda of the session was the upgrading of war graves.
“Over the past two years, we tidied 140 military graves; this year 23 graves are to be restored. On the eve of May 9, it is necessary to check the condition of all memorials, monuments and obelisks, clean and upgrade them,” Veniamin Kondratiev said.
