Krasnodar, 30 March. The total of film rebates to be dispensed in Krasnodar Krai in 2022 will reportedly amount to 50 million roubles.
The mechanism of subsidies offered to film producers in the Krasnodar region was launched in 2020. It will enable to open up new jobs and develop local companies in the sphere of film production and relative spheres.
In 2021, over 30 film projects were accomplished in the region. The subsidies to the total amount of 19.16 million roubles were given to five companies.
“In 2020, about two dozen film projects were produced in the Krasnodar region,” Vitali Vorobiev, Head of the regional Department for Investment and Development of Small and Midsize Entrepreneurship, commented. “In 2021, the figure grew by 50%. The more film projects are being implemented in the region, the more local companies are getting involved in the production process. The current system of rebates has a number of advantages. This is a support of the film industry, popularization of our region and its tourist constituent, new jobs, development of the film infrastructure, and budgetary recharge.”
