Krasnodar, 11 March. A new airport terminal will appear in Krasnodar at the end of 2023.
The volume of private investment in the project will reach 20 billion roubles. On March 4, Vice Governor Aleksandr Ruppel and Infrastructure Development Director of Group of Companies “Aerodynamics” Renat Saifullin discussed the peculiarities of implementation of the biggest transportation project in southern Russia.
The objects of the new air hub – the terminal, railway and bus stations, and tourist facilities will be connected with a roofed pedestrian gallery. Mr. Saifullin said that after the end of the first stage of the construction project – by 2024, the airport will be able to receive from six to eight million passengers a year. By 2030, when the transit facility will be put into operation, this fi \gure will reach to ten million passengers.
“Now we are finalizing the development of project documents; in April we will undergo an expert survey; and in summer we will proceed to the construction stage,” he promised. In his turn, Mr. Ruppel noted that the project is extremely important for the region.
“By Governor’s decision, the Krasnodar region allocated 7.7 billion roubles for the construction of the approach road to Krasnodar International Airport,” he said.
