Krasnodar, 2 February. Several Indian companies from Bollywood will be shooting their films in Krasnodar krai.
Last week, Vice Governor Aleksandr Ruppel chaired over the first working session of the Regional Film Commission. The meeting was attended by film production companies from India.
“Holding filming shoots in the territory of [Krasnodar] krai will encourage the promotion of the region’s potential at the national and international levels. Besides, then local businesses will also get involved in the project,” Mr. Ruppel noted. “The Regional Film Commission will render support at all production stages – from receiving governmental backup to organising an uninterrupted filming process.” Recently the Kuban region developed new measures of governmental support of film producing companies.
“This year, we are ready to compensate up to 20% of the filming expenses in the territory of the region – under the condition that Krasnodar krai be mentioned, or its wild, tourist and architectural sights be shown in the script,” Vasili Vorobiov, Head of the regional Department for Investment and Development of Small and Midsize Businesses, stated.
The parties are presently discussing the possibility of organising shooting of several Indian films in the Kuban region.
