Krasnodar, 19 January. Universal vaccination started in Krasnodar krai against the backdrop of growing COVID-19 sickness rate.
According to the official statistics, the infection passed a new bar on Monday with 200 reported cases of new patients (105 women and 95 men, including 14 underage patients). The age of the patients was from seven months to ninety years. Fifty-seven new cases were registered in Krasnodar, 23 – in Sochi, and 17 – in Belorechensk rayon.
Eighteen patients died from coronavirus infection on Monday. The cause of the deaths was bilateral pneumonia and concomitant diseases, the regional Ministry of Public Health reported. The youngest victims of the diseases were a 49-year-old man from Labinsk and a 57-year-old patient from Khadyzhensk.
The statistics of lethal cases in the Kuban region also tends to overcome the figure of twenty cases a day: say, on Sunday 19 persons died, and on Saturday – 20. Due to the continuing growth of the morbidity rate, the high alert regime in the region was prolonged until January 29.
On Monday, January 18, mass vaccination started in Krasnodar krai.
