Supporting Kuban Cinemas

Krasnodar, 9 December. Supportive measures for Kuban cinemas have reportedly been included in the regional plan of economic recovery. 

Governor Veniamin Kondratiev has signed a resolution on granting subsidies to legal entities and individual entrepreneurs involved in film showing in the territory of Krasnodar krai. 

Currently the regional Ministry of Culture is developing the procedure and criteria for the subsidies. The application process will begin after the respective changes are introduced in the regional budget for 2020 and the prospected period of the years 2021 and 2022. The regional budget is to allocated 14.6 million roubles to support the local film showing industry. 

Due to the pandemic and alert regime, all mass and entertaining events are banned in the region. The ban spreads to the work of the cinemas and food courts located in the malls. The regional plan of economic recovery stipulates for support of the industries that most suffered from the pandemic and the lockdown.
