Work to Resume at Machine Building Factory

Krasnodar, 19 August. The regional authorities want to keep afloat the Armavir Machine Building Factory. 

It was released during a session of the regional taskforce summoned to resolve the current crisis experienced by the factory, the authorities will be looking for investors to save the production facility. 

Last week, Head of the regional Department for Industrial Policy Ivan Kulikov had a meeting with the activists of the factory. He assured the workers that despite the bankruptcy procedure, the backdated wages will be paid out. 

“Following the inventory check, the furnishing of the earlier assembled 24 wagons will be resumed. We also plan to announce a tender on rental of the factory’s property complex and on business activities. The money to be received from the sales of the wagons will be spent to pay out the wage arrears,” Mr. Kulikov stated. 

Debts, including back wages, began to accumulate after the production was stopped last September.
