Krasnodar, 30 July. Natural gas motor fuel is becoming more popular in Krasnodar krai. To accelerate this process, a renewed program has been developed in the region which will make the switch from petrol to natural gas 90% cheaper for the population.
The press service of the regional administration explained that the car owners will have to pay only 10% to refit their cars; 60% of the cost will be subsidised by government, and the rest 30% – by Gazprom in the framework of its marketing programs. According to forecasts, a switch to natural gas motor fuel will help people and small businesses save as much as 65% of their fuel expenses.
“The plan for this year in Krasnodar krai is to put into operation five filling stations, and we are confidently moving to achieve this result. According to the governor’s instructions, new filling stations will be built in Armavir, Novorossiysk, Temriuk, Yeisk and Ladozhskaya, Ust-Labinsk rayon. Then there will be 25 NGV filling stations in 18 municipalities of Krasnodar krai. In the future, we plan to build 18 to 20 filling stations every year; we are already working on this issue with investors,” Aleksandr Trembitsky, Minister of Fuel and Energy Complex and Housing and Utilities Sector, noted.
