Krasnodar, 24 July. The freight turnover of the ports of the Azov and Black Seas amounted to 122.8 million tons in January – June 2020, showing a 2.9% growth, the press service of the Association of Commercial Seaports stated. The seaport of Taman showed the highest growth, +33.8%, or 10 million tons. The figures of the southern seaports looked quite positively on the background of the national average – the aggregate turnover of all Russian seaports in January – June amounted to 410.4 million tons, which was just by 0.1% higher than in the same period of 2019.
Shipments of export freights addressed to the ports of the Azov and Black Seas are also growing: in January – June 2020, they amounted to 36.6 million tons, or by 3.3% more than in the same period of the previous year, the North Caucasus Railways’ Corporate Communications Service announced. Say, 15.5 million tons of export freights arrived at the railway station of Novorossiysk during the first six months of this year (+1.2%); the figure for Tuapse was about 7.8 million tons (+5.1%); the station of Vyshesteblievskaya shipped about 7 million tons (+47.1%) of sea freights to the seaport of Taman.
