Krasnodar, 18 October – Yug Times. 16+ The second annual Day of the Southern Regional Committee (SRC) of the Association of European Business (AEB) will reportedly be held in Krasnodar on 17 October. The agenda of the event includes the conference “Time for new strategies” and a number of activities dedicated to the 16th anniversary of the Committee. On the eve of this event, The Yug Times took an interview from Oleg Zharko, AEB SRC Chair.
Q.: How comfortable is our business and institutional environment for the companies - SRC members?
A.: The Southern Regional Committee was founded sixteen years ago. Initially its members were seven companies, but since then their number has grown to over forty many of which are recognized leaders in their respective industries. No one of our members has closed or left the market - what is more, many have invested in the expansion of their business.
Q.: How important is the issue of lack of qualified staff for the international employers?
A.: Personnel training is a key program for any company. And, of course, practically all companies have their own programs. But what I would like to single out is our common and unique project. Five years ago, about a dozen companies - AEB SRC members, together with the Kuban State Agrarian University and the Kuban State Technological University - and this year the Kuban State University has also joined the project - founded business schools. Admission is competitive. and it is open for senior students of bachelor’s, master’s and PhD programs from any faculty. The course is free of charge. In total, there are 40 to 50 students in each of the said universities studying at such schools.
