Hydrometeorologists are forecasting difficult weather conditions for the coming days as well. A month worth of rain fell in Novorossiysk at night and early morning of July 21.
Rainfall in Anapa on July 23 caused a stone fall - from 3.20 till 4.00 AM 50 millimeters of rain fell in the resort. The capital of Kuban was also in the power of rains, the situation was especially difficult on a weekend – on July 22, 41 millimeters of rain fell in the central part of the city. According to Yury Tkachenko, head of the regional emergency center of monitoring and forecasting, the region is under the influence of weather fronts, which will move from the north-west to the south-east of the region.
They will cause rain falls, wind strengthening up to 15-20 meters per second, and probably hail. It is expected that the cyclone will leave Kuban at the end of the week, the temperature will reach 30 degrees again, and rains will stop.
