Krasnodar, 22 May – Yug Times. The Yeisk Cossack Military School has reportedly been given the highest score and become the winner of the All-Russia competition of Cossack military schools.
Apart from being declared the winner, the Military School was conferred the Challenge Banner of the President and a 3-millionrouble worth certificate.
The contest of the best Cossack military schools was held for the ninth time in a row by the Presidential Council on Cossack Affairs and Russian Ministry of Education and Science.
In 2017, the Yeisk School got the second prize. This time, it was proclaimed the best Cossack military school in the country, narrowly followed by another school from the Krasnodar region - the Novorossiysk Cossack Military School.
Although the Yeisk Military School is one of the youngest in Russia, it has gained prestige among other military schools. Every year, there are six-seven applicants for every seat in the school. Presently, there are seven Cossack military schools in the Krasnodar region with nearly 1,200 students.
