Krasnodar, 27 March – Yug Times. The governmental monetary support will reportedly help ensure further growth of the region’s agricultural sector.
According to Governor Veniamin Kondratiev, the priority branches for the region’s agriculture are cattle breeding, gardening and seed growing. On the whole, over seven billion roubles will be spent in 2018 to support the region’s agricultural sector.
The gardeners will get about 500 million roubles in the framework of The Small Garden program aimed at subsidizing of new gardens of the area of up to three hectares.
— [Our region] grows 40% of all Russian-grown apples; it’s a good figure, but the potential of the region is much higher, — stressed Mr. Kondratiev. — We need to seriously increase the gross production to offer a high-quality alternative to imported products.
The subsidies for the farmers will amount to 1.3 billion roubles. Agricultural cooperatives will be another target group for the state support program.
