Krasnodar, 13 February – Yug Times. Yandex and the regional Ministry for Resorts and Tourism have concluded a cooperation agreement.
According to it, the parties declared their intention to jointly develop the navigation over the resorts and work on the development of the tourist potential of the region. The document was signed by Yandex Geoservices Director Roman Chernin and Minister Khristofor Konstantinidi. “We will be glad to use Yandex’s information resources for the purpose of tourist-friendly navigation,” said Mr. Konstantinidi. “Then travelers will be able to get a full picture of interesting sights of the region and the infrastructure of our resorts.”
Commenting on the news, Director of the Federal Tourism Agency Oleg Safonov said that cooperation between the Krasnodar region and a large IT-company on geolocation would be an important step towards construction of a full picture of contemporary possibilities of the region’s tourist industry.
