Krasnodar, 31 October – Yug Times. The Krasnodar region has beaten its own last year’s record: over 10 million tons of cereal crops were harvested in the region this year.
The end of the harvest season was celebrated in Krasnodar’s Palace of Sports Olimp on 28 October. The festivity summoned farmers from all municipalities of the region. A 200-kg big loaf of bread presented in the hall became the main token of the event.
In his welcoming speech, Governor Veniamin Kondratiev called this year’s harvest “Herculean”: “It weighs more than 10 million tons, which is a victory indeed.”
Speaking to the guests of the festival, Chairperson of the regional Legislative Assembly Yuri Burlachko thanked them for the record harvest: “Every year you march towards your aim with confidence.
