On January 26, Krasnodar played host to the closing ceremony of a regional round of the national championship Young Professionals. The WorldSkills Russia contest summoned 300 students of Kuban colleges and vocational schools to compete for the titles of the best welder, milling operator, hairdresser, cook and teacher. “Today the participants of the championship are entering the international level of professional craftsmanship,” commented Konstantin Fedorenko, First Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Youth Policy of the Krasnodar region. “Those students who participated in at least one of numerous qualifications have upgraded the quality of their professional skills - they have become quite different welders, turners or cooks. I am sure that when they join some companies, they will not need any long adaptation period.
