ЮГ Times. The Consulate General of the Republic of Cyprus in Krasnodar has hosted a state reception devoted to Independence Day.
Among the distinguished guests of the reception were the Consul General of Greece in Novorossiysk Mr. Fragiskos Kostellenos, acting head of the regional MFA Representative Office Mr. Sergei Skorodumov, Krasnodar City officials, activists of the region’s Greek societies, CDB Bank management, business circles, and Cypriot students studying in Krasnodar region.
“In all spheres of economy we are trying to strengthen our relations with South Russia. We see many opportunities in tourism, trade, investment, education and public health sectors, and we endeavour to develop these directions,” stressed Mr. Nikos Vasiliou, Consul General of Cyprus in Krasnodar.
These were not mere words: Cypriot and Russian businesses have long ago found common grounds for cooperation; business contacts and goods turnover between Kuban and Cyprus continue to grow.
