Krasnodar, 10 October – Yug Times. Last week, Maikop hosted a meeting of the Council on Culture and the Arts under the Head of Adygea.
At the session, Head of the Republic Murat Kumpilov set the task of creating modern conditions in the region for cultural institutions, development of talents, and preservation of the unique cultural code. He stressed that supporting the best rural cultural centres and rewarding their staff remains a priority. According to Kumpilov, the social role of village cultural centres is unique, and it is therefore important to continue raising their status.
This year the republic is continuing construction of a cultural and educational centre in the village of Krasnogvardeiskoe; two model libraries have been opened in Yelenovskoye and Yablonovsky; a School of Creative Industries has been launched at the Magomed Khagauzh Children’s School of Arts in Koshekhabl; and major repairs are under way at the Adygea Republican Children’s Library and three cultural centres in Koshekhabl, the vil lages of Kuzhorskaya and Giaginskaya.
