Krasnodar, 16 April – Yug Times. In Gelendzhik, the modernisation of the sewage treatment system is nearing completion, Mayor Aleksei Bogodistov wrote in his Telegram channel.
The test run of the facilities is scheduled for the near future.
“This unique by its technological solutions project – the construction of sewage treatment plants and reconstruction of the “Clean Bay” sewage system – is coming to the end,” Aleksei Bogodistov wrote.
The work on the construction site of the sewage treatment plants and new sewage pumping stations is reportedly proceeding according to schedule.
As part of the Clean Bay project, new treatment plants were built at Tonki (Thin) Cape; 48 kilometres of large-diameter sewers were reconstructed; two new pumping stations were erected; and six existing pumping stations underwent reconstructed. When completed, the first phase of the project will have a capacity of 30,000 cubic metres per day.
