Krasnodar, 27 August – Yug Times. More than 50 food processing companies in the Krasnodar region are participating in the national project ‘Labour Productivity’. 

The companies are implementing lean technologies with the support of experts from the Regional Competence Centre. 

"The Krasnodar region produces about 5.5 per cent of Russia's food products. This is a leading sector of our industry, whose growth rates over the past five years have outpaced other areas," commented Aleksei Yurtaev, Krasnodar Regional Minister of Economy. "The key factor here is the availability of high-tech equipment and formation of corporate culture of improving labour efficiency. This comprehensive approach to streamlining opens up new horizons for further development." 

The Minister of Economy reported that through the introduction of lean production tools at the participating enterprises, they have managed to reduce the average process time by 32% and stocks by 54%, and to increase the output by almost 70%.
