An hotel in the Kuban mountain cluster has reportedly reviewed the implementation of lean technologies.

The project was implemented with the support of the Regional Competence Centre (RCC) as part of the Efficient Region project. The hotel team took training from the RCC experts on new working methods and principles, which not only improved the skills of employees, but also contributed to the introduction of the culture of continuous improvement. Thanks to the rearrangement of the Swedish line, previous inconveniences for guests and employees were eliminated. The introduction of lean technologies resulted in a 26 per cent reduction in cleaning and table service time. In the future, the hotel plans to continue to monitor and improve the processes, and to launch a new project to optimise the work of the spa centre specialists.

"Since the beginning of the year, we have received 1.7 million tourists in Sochi, which is eight per cent more than in the same period last year. Thanks to the Efficient Region project, the hoteliers not only improve the quality of their services, but also make a significant contribution to the economy of the city and the region," said Sochi Mayor Aleksei Kopaigorodsky.
