Krasnodar, 29 March – Yug Times. Two new fitness centres will be opened in Krasnodar this year. The sports and recreation centres in Sormovskaya and Fadeyev streets were completed in December last year. However, the facilities have not been opened due to the paperwork required to hand them over to the local authorities. The procedure is planned to be completed in the second quarter of 2024.

"We have a task to increase the number of people constantly engaged in sports activities up to 70 per cent by 2030," Mayor Yevgeni Naumov wrote in his social network. The complex in the Komsomolsky neighbourhood is located in the school campus. Its area is 1550 square metres; it has a multifunctional ground for team sports: basketball, volleyball, handball, and football, a grandstand for spectators and an information board. Besides, it is equipped with changing rooms with showers, cloakrooms, a medical room, a guard post and sanitary rooms.

The trampoline centre in the Pashkovsky neighbourhood will be used by students of the Olympic Reserve Sports School No. 3. The centre has a gym and a medical room for young athletes.
