Krasnodar, 18 January – Yug Times. Last year, 46 events with international participation were organised by Krasnodar.
“In 2023, we stepped up our work on establishment inter-municipal international ties. Together with our sister cities, projects in various areas were implemented aimed at sharing knowledge and experience, and strengthening mutual understanding and respect between peoples. This year the vectors of international cooperation will not only be preserved, but also dynamically expanded,” noted Aleksei Lugovsky, Head of the Department of Foreign Relations and Inter-Municipal Cooperation. In Tashkent, Uzbekistan Krasnodar Mayor Yevgeni Naumov and First Deputy Khokim of Andijan city Shavkatbek Nishanov signed a memorandum of intentions, which should mark the beginning of partnership ties between the Krasnodar region and Uzbekistan. Besides, an agreement on establishing friendly relations between Lenin District of Minsk city, Belarus and the Central District of Krasnodar was signed last year. In December, a memorandum of intentions on co-operation was signed with the Belarusian city of Hrodna.
