Krasnodar, 22 November – Yug Times. Kuban is reportedly updating records in terms of tourist traffic. 

As on 15 November, the Krasnodar region already received 17.5 million holidaymakers, reported Vice Governor Aleksandr Ruppel to the Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Maksim Reshetnikov within the framework of the meeting with Russian regions on the opening of the winter tourist season 2023–2024. 

Maksim Reshetnikov noted that this year the number of domestic tourist trips in Russia has increased by 16%, and in the winter season another 7% growth is expected. According to the federal minister, most regions have already formed special New Year programmes. 

Aleksandr Ruppel reported that the number of holidaymakers that visited the Kuban region this year had already exceeded the record last year’s figure, when 17.4 million people visited Kuban resorts. According to the calculations of the regional administration, the Krasnodar region will receive at least 18.5 million people by the end of the year, which will be a new historic record.
