Krasnodar, 15 November – Yug Times. This year, Adyghean farmers have harvested 543,000 tonnes of cereals. The results were reported at the harvest festival held last week. The average yield was 4.36 tons per hectare. At present, farmers are completing sowing of winter and overwintering crops.
The area of fruit and berry plantations in Adyghea has reached 4500 hectares, of which a little less than half are intensive type gardens (over the past five years their area increased by 1200 hectares). According to the results of nine months of this year, the production of livestock and poultry for slaughter increased by 31% compared to the same period of 2022, and exceeded 24,000 tonnes. The number of sheep and goats grew by 9 per cent, and of cattle by 3 per cent. Local milk production increased by 7% and approximated 22,000 tonnes. The volume of shipped food products and beverages neared 37 billion roubles, which was 16% more than in the same period last year.
This year, 804 million roubles have been allocated from the federal and republican budgets to support the local agro-industrial complex.
