Krasnodar, 9 November – Yug Times. A special commission charged with formation of the list of works required to improve the recreation infrastructure at the cost of the resort fee has reportedly been established in Sochi. It is composed of deputy mayors, heads of departments, and deputies of the Sochi City Assembly.
In 2022, 540 million roubles were collected in Sochi as the resort fee. This special-purpose revenue can only be used for the development of the recreation infrastructure. The sites to invest money are to be determined based on the results of meetings with residents and personal receptions, analyses of local self-governments’ passports, and citizens and tourists’ feedbacks in social networks.
“The commission members will have to choose the most significant proposals, taking into account the needs of both residents and guests of the city in the development of resort areas. Once the list of measures is determined, it will be posted on the city's official portal for public discussion," emphasised Svetlana Kalinina, Sochi First Deputy Mayor.
