Krasnodar, 25 August – Yug Times. A discussion of promising areas for the development of seaside towns in the Krasnodar region was held last week in Anapa.

The resort city hosted a meeting of the Council of the Black Sea Economic District chaired by First Vice-Governor Igor Galas.

“According to the regional Strategy “Kuban-2030,” the main goal of the Black Sea Economic District is to create a health resort and tourist centre with a developed infrastructure, which will attract guests and residents of the region all year round. Investments in development are the main priority, and we are ready to continue working on them together with our partners. The District’s investment portfolio amounts to about 847 billion roubles. At the same time, according to our forecasts, the average annual economic growth rate for the period from 2017 to 2030 will be 114.3 per cent, and thus it will exceed the strategic goal,” Igor Galas said.

One of the main points voiced at the meeting was the importance of the Black Sea Economic District as an attractive resort destination for tourists from all over the country. The district borders encompass Anapa, Novorossiysk, Gelendzhik, Temriuk and Tuapse districts.
