Krasnodar, 23 June – Yug Times. The Kuban State Technological University has reportedly celebrated its 105th anniversary.
Established in 1918, it was the first university in the Kuban region. Today KubSTU is one of the largest leading academic and educational centres in the Kuban region and Russia on the whole. It trains professionals in economics, mechanical engineering, power engineering, construction, road, oil and gas industries and social studies. In his greeting address, Krasnodar Mayor Yevgeni Naumov, himself a graduate of the KubSTU’s Department of Road Transport, distinguished the role of the university in the regional higher education system.
“Over these years, the University has produced many talented scholars, as well as thousands of professionals. Science, innovation and technology are symbols of our Polytechnic University. I am proud to be its graduate,” he said. At present, over 20,000 students study at the University coming from various parts of Russia and from neighbouring and distant countries. Its staffs consist of 1,000 teachers and over 1,400 employees of various categories
