Krasnodar, 14 June – Yug Times. The Krasnodar regional authorities will support UAV developers. Drone manufacturers will be able to apply for development grants. The new regional support measures were announced at a meeting dedicated to the development of unmanned aerial vehicles production.
“Krasnodar Krai may increase the production of drones and electronic products. This year we have assigned grants for the development of prototypes of flying vehicles and electronic industry products – up to 2.5 million roubles per specimen,” said Kuban Governor Veniamin Kondratiev.
He emphasised that the region needs to develop industrial and IT clusters and form new segments of the Russian IT market. UAV production is one of the areas where the Krasnodar region has a competitive advantage.
