Krasnodar, 21 April – Yug Times. Over the period of soft mortgage programmes (the Privileged, the Family, and the IT Mortgages) in the Southern Federal District, over 180,000 families have improved their housing condition.
“Traditionally, southern Russian regions demonstrate high figures in housing construction and launch of new high-quality developing projects. It is worth noting that in 2022, the Krasnodar region raised to the nation’s second top place on the volumes of erected housing facilities, passing the Moscow region and the city of St. Petersburg.” announced Maria Zholobova, Head of the Housing Research branch of Dom.Rf think tank.
In 2022, over 119,000 families living in the southern regions of the country improved their living conditions with the help of bank credits issued for the total amount of 424 billion roubles. Nearly 10% of all mortgages were issued in the Southern Federal District. Over 80% of all government-backed credits issued there fell on the Krasnodar and Rostov regions.
