Krasnodar, 16 March. The second phase of the Frunze Park project will reportedly be opened soon after reconstruction in Novorossiysk.
Many local residents became concerned after the completion of the first phase of the rejuvenation project. They noted that the park was losing its green spaces, and complained about it to the State Duma deputy Sergei Altukhov who backed the complaints.
“I was receiving many complaints from Novorossiysk residents during the work stage,” Sergei Altukhov said. “The people were concerned about the preservation of the adult trees and expressed mixed views about the very concept of the park. As a result, the initial plan was corrected so that more than 30 adult trees could be preserved. I share the people’s concern. In the framework of the second phase of the project, over 7,000 square metres of lawns were laid out, 5,400 square metres were mulched with bark, and 3,700 trees and shrubs were planted.
