Krasnodar, 2 March. A preservation order has reportedly been issued for the office building of the Chief Directorate of State Dachas in Sochi.The building erected in the 1930s sits in the city’s thoroughfare, Kurortny Prospect. Experts examined the cultural heritage facility, issued the inspection certificate, and agreed with the owner on the necessary works, their deadlines, and access terms. “We constantly work on the development and approval of documents aimed at state protection of the cultural heritage facilities in Krasnodar Krai.
These works are meant to preserve the historical and cultural monuments, and the historic appearance of the cities and villages,” Vice Governor Roman Luzinov said. The office building of the Directorate of State Dachas was designed by Miron Merzhanov, who was the personal architect for Stalin, designed the dachas for him and for other chief members of the Party nomenklatura in the Moscow region and at the Black Sea coast.
