Krasnodar, 9 February. The total volume of agricultural production in the Krasnodar Region last year amounted to 660.3 billion roubles, which was by 9.9% more than in 2021.
In 2022, the Kuban farmers harvested 15.5 million tons of cereal and leguminous crops (104.5% to 2021), including 10.6 million tons of wheat (104.9%), 2.7 million tons of grain maize (114.5%), and 520,000 tons of rice (69.8%).
Milk production exceeded 1.6 million tons (106.6% to 2021). Egg production amounted to 1.6 billion (109.5%). The regional industrial production index remained at the level of the previous year at 100.8%. Sand extraction increased by 20.9%; extraction of marble and limestone for tombstones – by 42.7%.
In the food industry, the biggest growth was shown by vegetable oil production – by 39.7%. At the same time, production of tea dropped by 12.8%, frozen fish – by 9.5%, cottage cheese – by 9%.
