Krasnodar, 18 January. The asphalting works of the Far Western Detour of Krasnodar are reportedly nearing completion.

To date, the works are 85 per cent complete. The road workers have laid 43.5 km of macadam, of the 51.2 km planned. Dividing fences preventing crossing into oncoming traffic have been installed along 25 km of the road. Presently, the works are being done at 24 engineering structures, such as viaducts, crossings for agricultural vehicles, and bridges. The construction of the viaducts over the Krasnodar – Yeisk motor road and the railway is also nearing completion. All beams have been assembled, the supports and support walls have been erected, and 85% of the roadway slabs have been laid.

Meanwhile, the construction of the traffic interchange at Kilometre 1306 (an intersection of the Far Western Detour and the M-4 Don Highway) is going on. The workers have assembled the beams, and now they are laying concrete on the cantilevers, doing the slope filling and road surfacing.
