Krasnodar, 22 December. The cost of premises renting in trade areas has reportedly increased in Russian regions.
This year, Krasnaya Street in Krasnodar has ranked in the top five expensive commercial streets nationwide.
The maximum rent price in the street amounts to 24,000 roubles per square metre a year, VAT not included.
Meanwhile, Yamashev Prospect in Kazan was acknowledged as the most expensive shopping street in Russia with the maximum rent reaching 35,000 roubles per square metre a year, followed by Uritsky Street in Irkutsk with 32,000 roubles a year.
Experts noted that the upper end of rentals grew in the second half of this year from 32,000 roubles per square metres up to 35,000 roubles.
They explained this trend by the exiting of international brands and recession in the restaurant segment. Nonetheless, local businesses are keeping up the demand for commercial premises in shopping streets.
