Krasnodar, 22 November. The issue of boundaries of mountain sanitary control districts of federal resorts was reportedly discussed at an offsite conference of the Krasnodar Legislative Assembly held in Sochi last week by the regional parliament’s chairperson Yuri Burlachko.
The conference was attended by heads of executive agencies of the Krasnodar Region and municipal officers.
In Krasnodar Krai, three cities hold the status of a federal resort city: Sochi, Anapa and Gelendzhik.
The boundaries of their mountain sanitary control districts were established fifty years ago, and became irrelevant long ago. “They retain the opportunities for construction of new utilities, transport and social infrastructure, which these cities badly need taking into account the growing number of local residents and annual increase of the tourist flow,” Yuri Burlachko said.
So far, a contract on development of the draft of the local mountain sanitary district has been concluded in Sochi. Its specifications have already been approved by the federal and regional authorities.
The need of the necessity to amend the existing boundaries of the mountain sanitary zone has also been proved by the authors of the City Master Plan. For Sochi, it is vitally important to have this issue resolved.
