Krasnodar, 26 August. By the end of this summer, Sochi plans to receive more than five million tourists.
Experts say that this figure somewhat exceeds the preliminary forecast. Since the beginning of the year, the resort city has received over 4,725,000 holidaymakers, which is 103% compared to the same period of 2021.
At present, the average occupancy of the city’s hospitality facilities equals to 95%; in the mountain cluster it averages to 85%. The average occupancy of spa facilities and health resorts reaches 95%, or even exceeds 100% in some spas. The ‘all inclusive’ and ‘ultra all inclusive’ segment also demonstrates high occupancy.
Comparative analysis of the data obtained from mobile operators shows that most of the holidaymakers have been coming from Moscow City (about 20%), Krasnodar region (14.7%) and Moscow region (11.7%), followed by Rostov region, St. Petersburg, and Sverdlovsk region.
