Krasnodar, 17 August. By 2025, 17 treatment facilities of the Black Sea coastline will undergo upgrading at the cost of infrastructural credits from the federal budget, Governor Veniamin Kondratiev announced last week at a regional conference devoted to the current problems of municipal infrastructure.
“The [Krasnodar] region has already obtained approval of more than 90 billion roubles for the years 2022–2025. It is necessary to spend them as efficiently as possible and within the granted period. Special attention must be paid to our resorts. A big part of the money will be spent to upgrade the sewage treatment facilities located at the seaside,” Mr. Kondratiev said.
“We have determined 17 facilities for reconstruction. They are located in Sochi, Novorossiysk, Anapa, Gelendzhik and Tuapse, and they treat 80% of the wastewater emptied into the Black Sea. By tentative estimations, the cost of the design, construction and assembly works will amount to 65.9 billion roubles. We are planning to proceed to construction works in 2023 and to complete them in 2025,” Mr. Trembitsky said.
