Krasnodar, 7 June. The injured party in the “Kubanskie Delikatesy” (Kuban Dainties) case claims that the proceedings have been dragged out deliberately by the accused.
The court session initially scheduled for May 26 was postponed because of the nonappearance of Vladimir Skripka, one of the accused. As an excuse, the defending party presented an electronic sick leave. The following meeting at court took place on June 6. Vladimir Skripka again failed to appear in court because of the illness. The following session has been scheduled for June 9. The Prosecutor’s Office made an application to postpone the case. The prosecutor explained that a court session should not be held without participation of one of the accused persons.
“In my opinion, all actions of the accused party are aimed at dragging out the proceedings,” Yevgeni Anashkin, the injured party’s attorney, commented. “In September, the deadline for liability will expire. And the defendants are resorting to various stratagems.”
