Krasnodar, 19 Мay. The ways to replace the imported equipment needed to upgrade the city’s sewage system are reportedly being searched in Sochi.
Last Saturday, Sochi Mayor Aleksei Kopaigorodsky chaired over a conference dedicated to this issue.
Eight facilities in Sochi joined the upgrade program for sewage treatment facilities developed by the federal government. The cost of the works will be covered with the help of infrastructural budget loans. In total, the city will need 35 billion roubles, the Mayor’s Office’s media office announced.
Now, taking into account the current geopolitical situation, a question is raised about replacement of the imported equipment and legalization of production unification norms in design decisions.
“We have logically connected the Russian Government’s treatment facilities upgrading program in Krasnodar Krai with the program of integrated development until 2030 for Sochi, and with the new general plan of the city’s development which is being elaborated presently. It will allow us to determine the most efficient solutions with due account given to all factor, which will result in improved ecology and life quality of our townsfolk and tourists,” said the mayor.
