Krasnodar, 11 Мay. The 25.6-hectare dump located near Krasny Village by Anapa will be reclaimed by the end of 2024. Last week, Svetlana Radionova, Head of the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resources, visited this closed facility where four million cubic metres of waste are stored. Then she chaired over a meeting to discuss the ways and the means of reduction the costs needed to reclaim the facility.
“The dump has been closed and out of operation since 2015 by a court order. The facility is being considered for inclusion into the federal project ‘Clean country.’ As part of the project, 191 dumps are to be reclaimed by the end of 2024,” Svetlana Radionova wrote in her social networks following the meeting.
“We plan that after the amendments, the final conclusion of the environmental expert examination will be prepared at the beginning of 2023,” Andrei Proshunin, regional Minister of Fuel and Energy Complex, and Residential and Utilities Services, stressed.
