Krasnodar, 22 April. The summer season at Sochi’s Rosa Khutor will reportedly begin on April 29. Alpine skiing and snowboarding activities will be held there until April 22.

The 1600 Mountain Park will become the main venue of the events to be held during the week before the new summer season. Holidaymakers will reach the Park by the 3.8-km-long Strela aerial lift, one of the longest cableways in Europe.

“The cableways Olimpia, Zapovedny Les and Kavkazsky Express heading for Rosa Peak, the highest observation point in Sochi (2.320 m above sea level) will be closed starting from April 22 due to the mandatory scheduled maintenance. The summer toboggan will also be closed for repair works from April 18 till 22. The cableways and the toboggan will resume work on April 29. Until that day, there will be free shuttle buses plying between Rosa Valley and Alpine Olympic Village,” Rosa Khutor’s press service announced.
